Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Patrick completed his Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne in Australia. Prior to this, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Biomechanics at UBC.
Due to his sporting background, he has a strong interest in orthopedics management and sporting injuries. He believes in a patient-centred approach while utilizing manual therapy, exercise and education. In addition, Patrick has completed his Australian Strength and Conditioning Association Level 1 course and is internationally certified for IMS dry needling.
His passion for rehabilitation for people of all fitness levels stems from his hospital and private practice experience where he was treating pre- and post-operative patients. He provides evidence-based treatments to optimise his patients’ rehabilitation in order to help them self-manage, prevent re-injury and achieve their long-term goals.
Outside of work, Patrick has a great passion for sports and food. He enjoys playing ice hockey, golf and snowboarding, and is an avid follower of the NHL, NFL and NBA. On weekends, you can find him checking off different restaurants on his list. Patrick is multilingual and speaks English, French, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Gemma joins Atrium all the way as an alumni of Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland. She brings an abundance of skills and knowledge which spans 7 years of experience. Her areas of expertise include Vestibular, Concussion, TMJ, Respiratory and Musculoskeletal Injuries.
Her patients describe her as ‘empathetic and able to cultivate a safe space’. What makes Gemma unique is her ability to look at health through a holistic lens. She prides herself on helping people find the root cause of their issues such as Chronic Pain from injury or otherwise. Health prevention and injury prevention to enable long- term lasting recovery are at the forefront of Gemma’s integrative mind-body approach.
Gemma is an advocate for holistic health and wellbeing and continues her professional development by undertaking courses to expand her skills and knowledge in order to support her patients on a deeper level. She is also a Certified Nervous System Regulation Practitioner.
When she is not working or enhancing her portfolio, Gemma can be found enjoying the beauty of Vancouver and the surrounding areas. She keeps active by cycling the Seawall, going to the gym and spending time with friends.
